Extended Description
Attached is a same program that calls scanl. If I compile it
with -O3, I get a memory manager complain at run time about
trying to allocate 47 brazillion terabytes of memory.
Since I haven't upgraded the dram on my machine recently,
I ran out.
If I compile with -noOPT, it reports segmentation fault at run time.
And, while we're on the topic, where are some tutorial examples of the use
of these functions, and...
where are stdin and friends defined?
