Extended Description
Sometime between ROUGHLY 2009-09-08 (Build #16387) and 2009-10-16 (Build #16482), the instruction counts for the sac/apex/buildv/buildv.sac benchmark doubled. When I find some spare time to go rebuilding old compiler versions, I'll go find out what happened. BTW: It would be nice if we had a simple (i.e., always there) mechanism to leave old copies of the compiler and stdlib in a usable form on our machines. That would make this sort of investigation trivial.
